5 Records of WWE Legend John Cena That Might Never Be Broken

Mr. Hustle Loyalty Respect, John Cena, was the number one guy for WWE for more than a decade. His reign as the champ, saw WWE rise to great heights during the “PG era”. The Doctor of Thuganomics may have claimed that You can’t see him but it was hard not to with his brightly coloured t-shirts and jorts.

When you’ve been the top champ for so long, you are bound to set a few records and here are some of them that may never be broken.

1. Most Make-A-Wish wishes granted

Out of all the celebrities in the world, our Mr. Never Give Up, is the one who has granted the most wishes for the Make a Wish Foundation. He is also the most requested and grants almost all wishes of the sick children that request him.

He has in total granted 650 plus wishes till date and seems to still be going strong. No celebrity has ever granted more than 300 and 650+ is a score that will likely never be broken.

2. John Cena has the best win-loss record among Superstars with more than 1,000 matches

Cena had debuted in 2002 against Kurt Angle in a gutsy performance and although he lost the match, there hasn’t been much looking back for him. His win percentage has been the best since the 2000s and nobody has been close even if he has semi-retired now.

His winning percentage comes up to 77.23% in over a gargantuan number of 1300 plus matches which is a monumental feat when you do the math. Only the Legendary Hulk Hogan has come close to it with his 76.95% but Cena’s 1300+ match record is something even the Hulkster can’t come anywhere close it.

Among the current competitors like Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns, Randy Orton, Batista or even Charlotte Flair, nobody has come close to what the master of the Attitude Adjustment has accomplished.

3. How many WWE Championships has John Cena won?

Cena holds the record for the most times the WWE Championship has been won by an individual. Total of 13 times to be precise over the years, with the last one in the 2017 Royal Rumble.

He has won it almost every year of his implacable career which is unheard of. In contrast he has won the World Heavyweight title lesser number of times, but his WWE title record still stands.

4. John Cena is how many times world champion in WWE?

A record that Cena shares with the Nature Boy Ric Flair is being a 16-time world champion which includes both world titles of WWE and Heavyweight across brands like RAW and SmackDown almost every year.

He is semi-retired but does occasionally show up for the big match and this means he can also win title number 17, surpassing all other champions in history. It can definitely happen.

5. Main Eventing the most successful Wrestlemania

WrestleMania XXVIII is easily the biggest and most successful WrestleMania of all time with a record 78,363 audience present at the Sun Life Stadium in Miami and a mind boggling 1.2 million people watching from 120 countries making it the highest grossing pay per view of WWE.

This Mania was highlighted by the main event of Once in a Lifetime John Cena vs The Rock match. Their rivalry was exciting and hyped week after week of cutting promos which got the WWE audience so riled up that it generated $8.9 million in gate receipts which is a company record. This is what WrestleMania is all about. A spectacle that only Cena and Rock could’ve pulled through making and breaking many records.
