4 Reasons Why CM Punk Will Never Return To WWE

CM Punk recently made his return to AEW after dealing with an injury due to which he had relinquish the AEW World Championship just two days after claiming his first world title in nearly nine years. He immediately inserted himself back in the title picture confronting the Interim AEW World Champion Jon Moxley, making his intentions clear of wanting his championship back.

Fans are still buzzing over Punk’s remarks made about Hangman Adam Page during this week’s AEW Dynamite, reportedly going off-script due to some backstage heat with Page during their feud for the AEW title en route Double or Nothing main event. This even led to some speculations that CM Punk almost no-showed Dynamite threatening to quit the Land of All Elite.

Punk has always been known to be difficult with the top management journeying back to his days in the WWE.  He left WWE on the worst terms, citing his booking, backstage and health related issues as the primary reasons for his exit.

However, even if Punk does end up quitting All Elite Wrestling in the near future, a return back to his old company seems highly unlikely and it could finally close the chapter on one of the best wrestling careers to ever happen. Here are 4 reasons why the Best in the World would never return to the WWE:

1. The relationship between CM Punk and McMahon family may impact his WWE Return

One of the biggest reasons CM Punk will never be seen again on WWE T.V is because of they don’t preach John Laurinitus ‘People Power’ but due to People in Power i.e  members of the McMahon family.

Although his major beef was with former WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon who exited the company a few months back, his daughter Stephanie McMahon and son-in-law Triple H still hold major control over WWE and Punk has been known to have major issues with both of them as well. The Best in the World’s outspoken nature would never let him work in hand with the McMahon family.

2. Rebellious nature

The one reason CM Punk rose to superstardom was the way he spoke his mind candidly each time he had a microphone in his hand or on any platform that could reach the audience. His rebellious and defying nature could be the sole reason WWE management would never like to have The Second City Saint back on the active roster.

3. Unceremonious Exit of CM Punk from WWE may make his think twice about his return

Multiple factors contributed to CM Punk’s exit from World Wrestling Entertainment in the worst manner possible. Failure to main event Wrestlemania, destruction of what famously came to be known as ‘The Summer of Punk’, less money paid despite his immense star power and pushed to wrestle often despite dealing with various injuries and health related issues drove The Best in the World out of the wrestling giant.

Moreover getting his termination papers on the day of his wedding was the last straw, ruling out a WWE return for good.

4. Past his Prime

Despite looking to be in the best shape of his career in AEW and working a close enough full time, a return to the WWE still seems to be off the cards for CM Punk as the new management seems to be focused on building the next generation of Superstars, pushing younger talent.

This could mean that in the eyes of the WWE top brass, CM Punk has past his prime, could be used to put over younger talent and won’t get the push that could entice him to return to the WWE.
