4 overseas player combination CSK could try against Mumbai Indians

Mumbai Indians will host Chennai Super Kings on Saturday at the Wankhede Stadium. This will be an exciting match for the fans as both teams will be taking on each other after almost a year. There could be a change for CSK against MI because they would be moving to the Wankhede Stadium, which is quite different from the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai. On that note, here, we take a look at the four overseas player combination CSK could try against Mumbai Indians.

1) Moeen Ali

Moeen Ali was good with the ball in the previous game. This alone makes him a sure inclusion in the playing XI for CSK.

Also, Wankhede Stadium would also suit Moeen Ali – the batter. If the Englishman can find his form at this venue, this could help CSK in the entire competition.

2) Devon Conway

Devon Conway is a part of the overseas player combination CSK could try against Mumbai Indians. Conway would be the foreign player who will be vulnerable to losing his position in the XI.

However, if Conway can show good form against MI at the Wankhede, that would give him a few more games in the tournament. In this regard, this game is important for him.

3) Ben Stokes

Ben Stokes has not been great with the bat, so far, in IPL 2023. That said, it would be expected that he will do well against Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium.

The pitch suits his batting style and also, Stokes is known to step up in key fixtures. Hence, his role is vital on Saturday for CSK.

4) Sisanda Magala

Sisanda Magala is also a part of the overseas player combination CSK could try against Mumbai Indians. CSK has had its struggles with the bowl in the death overs. This job would be more difficult at Wankhede.

Therefore, Sisanda Magala could walk straight into the playing XI. He would replace Mitchell Santner in the playing XI while an Indian batter could get a chance in the squad.
