Virender Sehwag is probably one of the wittiest former cricketers going around and he never shies away from taking a dig at the arch-rival Pakistani players whenever he gets the opportunity to do so.
Sehwag has probably earned the rights to troll the Pakistani players as well, as he had a great time on the field whenever he turned up against Pakistan, particularly in Test match cricket. Sehwag’s Test average against Pakistan is 91.14.
Here are the 4 occasions where Sehwag trolled the Pakistani cricketers with his witty tweets –
#1. Saqlain Mushtaq’s birthday
While wishing the former Pakistani off spinner Saqlain Mushtaq on his birthday in 2016, Sehwag uploaded a video of him hitting a six against Saqlain to complete his triple century in the famous Multan Test of 2004.
Sehwag tagged Saqlain in his tweet and wished him a happy birthday with that video and also thanked him for all the “memories”.
A very happy birthday dear @Saqlain_Mushtaq .
Stay blessed and Thank you for the memories. Enjoying watching this in loop. pic.twitter.com/QOryy3L2TF— Virender Sehwag (@virendersehwag) December 29, 2016Advertisement
#2. India-Pakistan hockey match
Shoaib Akhtar and Sehwag never got along when they were playing against each other and even after their retirement, the two players keep passing interesting statements about each other.
In April 2016, when India beat Pakistan in a Hockey match, Sehwag trolled Akhtar with a hilarious tweet.
The Indian cricket team had already beaten Pakistan a couple of times earlier that year in Asia Cup and T20 World Cup respectively and then when the Indian Hockey team also beat Pakistan, Sehwag tagged Akhtar in a tweet and told him, “bhai hockey mai bhi mauka haath se nikal gaya” (Pakistan lost the opportunity in hockey too brother).

#3. Celebrating his double hundred
It was not just on the tour of 2004 that Sehwag smashed the Pakistani bowlers to all corners , he repeated it on the tour of 2006 as well. After his triple hundred in Multan in 2004, Sehwag scored a double hundred against Pakistan in one of the games of the Test series of 2006.
On the 11-year anniversary of that particular Test match, Sehwag shared a picture of himself where he was returning to the pavilion after playing a mammoth knock of 254.
Adding further to that tweet, Sehwag named 16th January, the date on which he had played that blistering knock of 254, as “Pakistankabhootbanaya” Diwas.

#4. India U19 vs Pakistan U19
After the Indian U19 boys beat the Pakistan U19s in the semi-final of the U19 World Cup earlier this year, Sehwag wrote on twitter, “Ab toh Aadat si hai” (We have the habit of doing this now).
The Indian team had outplayed Pakistan in all three departments of the game in that semi-final and had beaten them by a margin of 10 wickets.
It was believed that the game would be close as both the teams had talented players, but as it turned out, the Pakistan U19 team didn’t seem to be anywhere close to the India U19s in terms of quality.
