3 youngest Head coaches to win the IPL trophy in the history of the tournament

Winning a tournament like the IPL needs a lot of experience and excellent tactics. While some of the senior coaches have struggled, there are also some young coaches who did a wonderful job. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three youngest Head coaches to win the IPL trophy in the history of the tournament.

3) Shane Warne –  39 years 9 months

Shane Warne is also a part of this list. In IPL 2008, he was the captain and the Head Coach of the side. Not many expected RR to go all the way. However, Warne did the unthinkable.

After his first stint, he had a couple of more years at the helm for RR. However, he could not replicate that success as a Head Coach.

2) Darren Lehmann – 39 years 3 months

Darren Lehmann is one of the youngest Head coaches to win the IPL trophy in the history of the tournament. The Aussie won the trophy as a player in IPL 2008 and then won the competition as a coach in IPL 2009.

Not many knew of Lehmann as a coach at that time. However, he had a good philosophy and with the help of Adam Gilchrist, Lehmann was able to win the trophy for Deccan Chargers. Later, for Australia, as well, Lehmann found decent success as a coach.

1) Stephen Fleming – 37 years 2 months and 38 years 2 months

Stephen Fleming did not take long before he won the IPL as a coach. In the first season, he was with CSK as a player but later became the coach of the side.

Both in 2010 and 2011, he won the trophy for his side. Such is his longevity that he has won some trophies recently, as well. Fleming takes both the No.1 and No.2 slots when it comes to the youngest ever coaches to have won the IPL.
