1) Mayank Agarwal
Yes, KKR has signed Ajinkya Rahane as the backup opener or the No.3 batter. However, he can be inconsistent at times, as seen in IPL 2024.
Hence, having another experienced opener could have been a good choice. At INR 1 Cr, Mayank Agarwal would have been a nice fit. Hence, he is on this list.
2) Finn Allen could have been one of the players at KKR
Finn Allen is one of the unsold players who would have been a perfect fit at KKR
KKR needs an ultra-aggressive opener at the top. Yes, he could come with a lot of risks but Finn Allen might have done well at the top.
3) Sandeep Warrier
KKR’s pace attack runs a bit thin. There is a lot of pressure on Harshit Rana to do the job at both ends of the game.
Hence, a powerplay specialist like Sandeep Warrier could have been a good idea for KKR. Vaibhav Arora is there but Sandeep is a good backup.
