1) Anshul Kamboj
Anshul Kamboj played for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2024. Since then, he has been doing well at various domestic events.
Hence, MI was interested in getting him back. However, CSK was also desperate for a tall Indian fast bowler like him. Hence, CSK hired the cricketer.
2) Suyash Sharma was targeted by Mumbai in IPL 2025 Mega Auctions
Suyash Sharma is one of the uncapped players Mumbai Indians targeted but could not sign in IPL 2025 Mega Auctions. MI made the mistake of not focussing on the spin department in the last cycle.
Therefore, they bid for quite a few spinners in the auctions. Suyash Sharma was one of them. However, RCB also wanted the cricketer after having lost Yuzvendra Chahal at the event. Hence, MI could not sign the cricketer.
3) Harpreet Brar
Harpreet Brar was one of the other spinners targeted by MI. He would have been a nice fit in the squad for the upcoming cycle.
