The Rock returned on the New Year’s Day and the entire WWE Universe showed it that why he is still one of their most favourite superstars. Dwayne Johnson have been an icon of the sport and his presence in the ring have been thoroughly entertaining over the years.
In the episode of Raw, he made it clear that he is bringing the next big thing in the industry. With the Bloodline ruling the creatives for a while now, finally, the Rock dropped a hint at the faction, stating that he may finally opt to sit at the head of the table.
Well retorting to him, Paul Heyman retorted on SmackDown that Reigns cannot be defeated and the Rock will never be dethroning him. Well, the point of dethroning him may happen in two ways. Firstly when he is stripped of the championship and secondly he is no longer claimed the head of the table.
It is highly unlikely that he may be champion anymore for the Rock will probably be making a guest appearance and the belt is usually awarded to full timers. With that being said, here are three ways in which the entire rivalry may kick off between Rock and Roman Reigns.
#1 The Rock shocks Roman Reigns at Royal Rumble
Roman will be a part of a fatal four way match and that is always having someone on the line. Even the slightest of concentration lapses can cost you your title and all you would know that while Roman is trying to put someone down in the match-up, Rock’s entrance music hits and that causes Roman Reigns the match-up. It is still not sure though whether, Roman will be defending the title in the match-up at Royal Rumble or not. Hence, this may just be a match up to enhance the storyline.
#2 The Rock appears just ahead of Wrestlemania and puts a People’s Elbow on Roman
With the Rock’s busy schedule, he may not be regularly a part of the show. Hence, that means, it is highly unlikely that WWE will actually kick off the creative this early. All that is being said is that he may just appear ahead of Wrestlemania and put the Tribal Chief through a People’s Elbow and announce an open challenge for the throne at the head of the table.
#3 Cody Rhodes attacks Roman Reigns and the Rock comes out and announces him as his champion
There is high possibility that Cody Rhodes may get another shot at the title and he is a crowd favourite. So it may not be entirely Rock calling the shots but Cody Rhodes may come out and attack Roman Reigns and continue dismantling the faction one piece and one member at a time with the Rock coming out Wrestlemania in all likelihood to deliver the telling blow to Paul Heyman and Roman Reigns by himself.
