Kolkata Knight Riders had specific plans when it came to the Impact Player rule last season. They mostly used Venkatesh Iyer for this rule. However, with him doing well with the ball, KKR could now have different ideas. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three players whom KKR could use as Impact Player for IPL 2024.
1) Ramandeep Singh
A big-hitter from Punjab, Ramandeep Singh can also do well with some medium-pace bowling. He was acquired at his base price by KKR in IPL 2024 Auctions.
While he might be slotted as a finisher, he could also be promoted higher up the order to offer some variety. Depending on the situation, he could be used as an Impact Player.
2) Manish Pandey
Manish Pandey is an experienced option to have for KKR on the bench. When the team loses some early wickets, he would be the right person to get a chance to bat.
Manish might have been in poor form but he is still a class player. In the powerplay, against pace bowling, if used well, he still has a good chance to leave an impact. Hence, he is on this list.
3) Chetan Sakariya
Chetan Sakariya is one of the players whom KKR could use as an Impact Player for IPL 2024. It will be interesting to see how the pace attack of KKR would be constructed for IPL 2024. Mitchell Starc and Harshit Rana are sure to be in the XI while Andre Russell will also help them.
Chetan Sakariya has hardly played in IPL in the last two editions. Nevertheless, he could get some chances in IPL 2024. He can bowl in various phases and that is an advantage for the cricketer. If KKR is bowling second, he could come in as the Impact Player, especially if the franchise is not playing at the Eden Gardens.
