Brothers playing in the IPL is not a new thing. In the past, we have seen the likes of the Pandya brothers, the Pathan brothers and the Morkel brothers excel in the competition. In IPL 2024, too, we could witness some of these pairs. Plus, a few are going under the hammer in the upcoming auctions. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three pairs of brothers who will go under the hammer in IPL 2024 Auctions.
1) Ashton Agar and Wes Agar
Ashton Agar is one of the under-rated all-rounders in T20I cricket right now. While he bowls quality off-spin, he is also decent with the bat at No.7 or No.8.
On the other hand, Ashton’s younger brother Wes Agar is also a good performer in the Big Bash League. It would be difficult for either of them to get a contract. Nevertheless, the siblings will hope for the best.
2) Sarfaraz Khan and Musheer Khan
Sarfaraz Khan and Musheer Khan are on this list of the pairs of brothers who will go under the hammer in IPL 2024 Auctions. Sarfaraz has played a few IPL seasons already. It will be interesting to see which IPL would now bid for him.
On the other hand, there are a lot of expectations from Musheer. He is an emerging all-rounder and is smashing in most of the age-group competitions. A few franchises have reportedly expressed their interest in signing him.
3) Baba Aparajith and Baba Indrajith
The Baba brothers have played a crucial role for Tamil Nadu in recent years. However, when it comes to the IPL, the brothers have not been able to hit the mark.
While Indrajith has made his IPL debut, Aparajith is yet to get his IPL cap. They are both multi-dimensional cricketers. Hence, they can expect a bid in the upcoming auctions.
