3 Indians who played in the Zimbabwe T20I series and might be dropped for the next series

In the past, as well, we have seen many Indian youngsters make their debut in Zimbabwe and then never play for India again. This is bound to happen in India where the depth of talent is too much. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three Indians who played in the Zimbabwe T20I series and might be dropped for the next series.

1) Tushar Deshpande

Tushar Deshpande did not get too many opportunities but he was not very impressive in the game that he got. On the other hand, the likes of Mukesh Kumar did well in the chances they got.

Tushar Deshpande could leak runs at times. He might not be able to trouble the batters too much with his pace. With the likes of Harshit Rana waiting in the wings, India might not be able to afford another chance for Tushar.

2) Riyan Parag

Riyan Parag is one of the Indians who played in the Zimbabwe T20I series and might be dropped for the next series. Considering the performances in IPL 2024, a lot more was expected from Riyan Parag. However, he failed to grab his opportunities.

It could be hard to find a way back into the setup. The likes of Abhishek Sharma and Shivam Dube did well with their chances. Anyways, after SKY and Hardik come back, it would be tough to have Riyan Parag in the middle-order. Hence, he is on this list.

3) Dhruv Jurel

Sanju Samson appeared more mature in this series. He aced a role in the lower middle-order. India might stick with Sanju and Pant going forward in the T20I setup.

Dhruv Jurel did not do much in the IPL before he landed his spot in the Indian T20I side. Hence, at least for the moment, he could struggle to justify his case.
