3 Indians Andy Flower might target in the trade window for RCB

Royal Challengers Bangalore have confirmed the appointment of Andy Flower as the new Head Coach of the franchise. A serial winner, it would be an exciting prospect for the fans to witness the new RCB philosophy under Flower. Meanwhile, the coach might already have a roadmap to improve things at RCB. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three Indians Andy Flower might target in the trade window for RCB.

1) Umran Malik

Umran Malik tapered off during the end of last season. He also was dropped from the squad and even for India, he is not doing that well. However, there is potential in the player.

Considering RCB does not have a single bowler with “raw pace”, they can pursue Umran. SRH could release him based on his current form. Hence, RCB has a chance here.

2) Riyan Parag

After the season that he had, Rajasthan Royals could be inclined to release him. However, he is doing well at the domestic level and there could be a chance for redemption.

Nevertheless, RCB would need such a player in their ranks. A good player of pace as a finisher is something that would help the batting line-up of RCB. Since he can also provide a few overs with the ball, Parag would just be the right kind of player for an Andy Flower T20 XI.

3) Vishnu Vinod

Vishnu Vinod is one of the Indians Andy Flower might target in the trade window for RCB. The franchise desperately needs a wicket-keeper for IPL 2024. Dinesh Karthik was not in great form and this disturbed the balance of the franchise. Hence, Flower will be on the lookout for a new option.

There are not many options available in this regard. Especially since RCB needs someone who can bat in the middle-order, there is a scarcity of choices. However, Vishnu Vinod at Mumbai Indians is a good choice and is quite experienced. He can develop further and would be a good investment for RCB.
