Zaheer is one of the best pacers that India has produced. He is someone who did well in all the phases of the game. India would need someone with his experience to guide the youngsters in the setup.
2) L Balaji
L Balaji is a name that is also in the running to become the next bowling coach of the Indian Team. Considering he has worked with Gautam Gambhir before, it will not be a surprise if Balaji ends up with the assignment.
As a bowling coach, as well, Balaji has held multiple roles in the past. For a long time, he was a part of the CSK setup. He is experienced and has played for India in all the formats. Therefore, he would be a good appointment.
3) Vinay Kumar
Vinay Kumar is one of the former Indian cricketers who are reportedly in the race to become India’s next bowling coach. He is one of the surprising names to come up in the discussions. This is mainly because barring his stint at the MI Emirates, Vinay does not have coaching experience.
Nevertheless, Vinay can be a fine option because he has done well in the Ranji Trophy. He was also a fine captain during his time. The Karnataka player has also played under Gautam Gambhir in IPL.
