1) Open the batting with Daryl Mitchell
Daryl Mitchell started his career as an opener. Hence, he is not very new to the rule. It was a surprise that he hardly got a chance to bat in the last game.
Now, Mitchell is someone who can make good use of the field restrictions. Hence, he would be a wise choice to have in the powerplay for the team.
2) Moeen Ali at No.3.
Slotting Moeen Ali at No.3 is one of the bold decisions CSK could take to get back to winning ways in IPL 2024. When CSK won the title a few years ago, it was Moeen’s success at No.3 that was one of the main reasons.
