3 Australian cricketers who could be replacement signings in IPL 2024

Already, IPL 2024 is seeing a few players withdraw from the tournament. It won’t be a surprise if we witness more injuries and unavailabilities in the coming days. IPL franchises like Australian players and hence, some of the unsold players could get a chance again in the tournament. On that note, here, we take a look at three Australian cricketers who could be replacement signings in IPL 2024.

1) Aaron Hardie

Aaron Hardie is an upcoming all-rounder from Australia. We all know that Australian all-rounders are rated highly in the competition. Hence, Aaron has a realistic chance of making it to IPL 2024.

He is a batting all-rounder. In the recent BBL, he was one of the highest run-getters. As a medium-pace bowler, as well, he can add depth to a side. Hence, he is a part of this list.

2) Josh Hazlewood

It was known that Josh Hazlewood would not be a part of the first few weeks of IPL 2024. That was one of the main reasons why no team was interested in picking him. However, if there is an injury issue a few days into the tournament, Josh Hazlewood can be an intelligent signing.

Firstly, the team would be able to use the Aussie for the remaining games. Next, they also get a chance to retain him for the next season and this would be at a cheap price compared to what he would have got at the auctions.

3) Lance Morris

Lance Morris is one of the Australian cricketers who could be replacement signings in IPL 2024. One of the quickest bowlers in Australia, Lance Morris can be a solid signing as a backup pacer.

While pace is his biggest strength, he can also hit the deck hard and has some more variations, as well. While he may not be able to lead a pace attack, as the second pacer, he is definitely worth considering.
