2 South African Players who failed in the Major League Cricket 2023

South African players are one of the great contributors to the game of cricket. From time to time Proteas players have produced magnificent performances and have set the world cricket on fire. They actively participate in the T20 leagues and recently few players were part of the Major League Cricket 2023. In this piece, we take a look at 2 South African Players who failed in the Major League Cricket 2023:

Faf du Plessis

Faf du Plessis, who was captain of the Texas Super Kings, was one of the biggest disappointments in Major League Cricket. The South African cricketer was expected to make a big impact in the tournament but in what was the rarest of scenes he failed miserably and failed to get going in all the games he played. The Texas Super Kings skipper played 7 games in the league and failed to cross even the 50-run mark. He managed just 46 runs at an average of just over 6 and also had a poor strike rate of 85.18. His failure was one of the main reason team didn’t make it into the final.

Dwaine Pretorius

Another South African Player who failed in the Major League Cricket 2023 is all-rounder Dwaine Pretorius. He failed to make an impact with both bat and ball. The Proteas player failed to take a single wicket with the ball and the same was the case even in the batting. In the 3 innings that he batted, Pretorious scored just 23 runs at a poor average of just over 11. He failed to make an impact for his team and created a lot of problems for them.
