2 players RCB can use as the Impact Player if they bowl first against Mumbai Indians

As seen in the first game between CSK and GT, the ‘Impact Player’ rule could have a big impact. While Sai Sudharsan set the tone for GT, Tushar Deshpande disturbed the momentum for CSK. Also, it is now clear that if the team is bowling first, they would have a batter as the ‘Impact Player’ in the second innings. The next massive game is between RCB and MI on Sunday. Here, we take a look at two players RCB can use as the Impact Player if they bowl first against Mumbai Indians.

1) Anuj Rawat

Anuj Rawat opened the batting for RCB when the team played against Mumbai Indians last season. He had a good outing and helped the squad win the match. Therefore, RCB could bring him on again on Sunday.

RCB does not have too many left-handers in the top-order. Therefore, Anuj Rawat could have an opportunity. The youngster is known to hit big sixes and if he has worked on his power game, he could be useful against the spinners. Hence, he features on this list.

2) Suyash Prabhudessai

Suyash Prabhudessai is one of the players RCB can use as the Impact Player if they bowl first against Mumbai Indians. If Rajat Patidar is not fit, Suyash might even be a part of the starting XI. However, if Patidar is playing, he would be the best option if RCB wants to bring in a batter as part of the new rule.

Last season, the Goa all-rounder showed glimpses of his talent. Yes, he could not deliver but he has been in good domestic form and the management will hope that he steps up. Suyash is good against the spinners and this could be useful against Mumbai Indians, who will have Kumar Karthikeya and Piyush Chawla as part of the spin attack.
