2 KKR players who could make Test debut after Gautam Gambhir became India’s Head Coach

When a player and a coach spend time in a successful environment, chances are that the association would continue. At KKR in IPL 2024, Gautam Gambhir helped a few players to do well. Now that he is the India Head Coach, he might prefer some of his KKR players to be in the Indian Team. He knows their skills well and this could bode well for Team India. It won’t be a surprise if this happens for all three formats of the game. Here, we take a look at the list of two KKR players who could make Test debut after Gautam Gambhir became India’s Head Coach.

1) Harshit Rana

Harshit Rana impressed all with his displays in IPL 2024. With the red ball, as well, he has been doing well at the domestic level in recent times. Considering his age and the skills that he has, it is best that he is integrated into the Test setup as early as possible.

The upcoming BGT could be the right stage to have him as the backup Indian pacer. He also can do well with the bat and going forward, he can be used as the bowling all-rounder. Therefore, the youngster is also a part of this list.

2) Rinku Singh

Rinku Singh is one of the KKR players who could make Test debut after Gautam Gambhir became India’s Head Coach. Even before Gambhir made a return to KKR, Rinku Singh was already a part of the Test Team’s plans. Back in South Africa, he was asked to stay back after the white-ball games.

That said, players such as Devdutt Padikkal and Sarfaraz Khan made their debut against England recently. Rinku Singh might have it tough to get a spot in the Test Team but with Gambhir as the Head Coach, Rinku can still get an opportunity.
