As the squad is expected to be released in the next few days, we take look at 2 Indian Players who should get an opportunity for the T20I Series against Sri Lanka.

Sanju Samson

It’s fair to say that Sanju Samson is the unluckiest Indian cricketer. Despite good performances in the domestic circuit and IPL, the keeper batter hasn’t gotten the desired chances in the team. He didn’t get a chance in the T20I series in New Zealand. With Rishabh Pant not being quite up to the mark in the T20Is, the team needs to look it further and therefore Samson is the most deserving player who should get an opportunity for the T20I Series against Sri Lanka. In the 16 games so far, he has scored 296 runs at an average of 21.14 and a strike rate of 135.16.

However, he has been a consistent performer in the domestic circuit and is continuously knocking on the doors of selectors. Shaw had a terrific Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, where he scored 332 runs in 10 innings at a strike rate of 181.42. Not only this, he has been staggering in IPL as well as he has been providing his team with fiery starts.
