Son of Indian Tamil Muslim (father) and English descent (mother), Nasser Hussain, who was born in Madras, was one of the finest to have played for England. He was one of the best Test batters as he scored 5764 runs in 96 games at an average of 37.18. In the Ashes, he scored 1581 runs at an average of 38.56 in 21 games.

Lisa Sthalekar

Lisa Sthalekar is among the two Indian-born players who have played Ashes. She was born in Pune, Maharashtra and then went on to play for Australia in women’s cricket. She played 8 Tests in her career and she blasted 416 runs at an average of 32.00. Not only this she was a prolific wicket-taker for his side as he picked 23 wickets as well. She also played 7 Ashes Tests as well and scored 344 runs and also picked 14 wickets.
