Rahul Sharma
Punjab-born leg spinner was the first Indian who announced his retirement from international cricket in 2022. After playing domestic cricket he was Bell’s Palsy, a form of facial paralysis that affected his vision. However, he didn’t stop as consistent performances in the domestic circuit and IPL saw him making his India debut in 2011. He played 2 T20Is for India, taking 3 wickets and 4 ODIs. He also played 44 IPL games and scalped 40 wickets.

Robin Uthappa
Robin Uthappa was the second Indian to announce his retirement from international cricket in 2022. Uthappa was one of the main reasons behind India winning the 2007 T20 World Cup as he played an instrumental role in making team win. He was one of the most reliable batters for his side till the time he played. He represented India in 46 ODIs, scoring 934 runs with 6 fifties and also played 13 T20Is, scoring 249 runs with 1 fifty. He was a stalwart in IPL as well as he scored 4952 runs with 27 half-centuries.
