2 Indian players unlucky to miss the ODI squad for the series against New Zealand
Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Friday (13th January) announced the 16-member squad for the three-match ODI series against New Zealand. While many were happy with the team, there were few notables missing from the team. Let’s take a look at 2 Indian players unlucky to miss the ODI squad for the series against New Zealand.
Arshdeep Singh
Arshdeep Singh was dropped from the Indian squad for the ODI series against New Zealand. The left-hander was part of the Sri Lanka series but he didn’t get a game and was not named in the team for New Zealand. His omission came as a surprise as he has been one of the best pacers of late for the team. Also him being left-pacer and death specialist gives team an additional variety. He has played 3 games so far.
Can anyone just clear why is #arshdeepsingh not in the ODI squad for New Zealand ? We’ve been desperate for a left-arm pacer who can trouble opposition like Amir, Shaheen, Boult, Starc and others have been doing to our team. And when we found one, he isn’t getting enough backing

Ravi Bishnoi
Another Indian players unlucky to miss the ODI squad for the series against New Zealand is Ravi Bishnoi. The leg-spinner has been on the sidelines since the end of the South Africa series at home. With Yuzvendra Chahal under a lot of scanner, it was expected that Bishnoi would be longer rope in the side. But despite performing well, he hasn’t made cut in the Indian side. The Himachal Pradesh spinner has played just one game and has picked 1 wicket.
