English cricketers play a big role in the Indian Premier League. A few of them have interestingly returned to their old teams in the recent auctions. Here, we take a look at the list of two English cricketers who returned to their old franchises for IPL 2025.
1) Sam Curran is one of the top English cricketers in IPL 2025
Sam Curran played an important role for Punjab Kings in the last cycle. He was also the captain of the side for most of the matches.
It was at CSK that he realized his potential as an all-rounder. The franchise also used him well. Now, Sam will play for CSK again. For him, it will be a good platform to get back to the England squad. At the moment, he is not in the white-ball setup.
2) Jofra Archer
Jofra Archer is one of the English cricketers who returned to their old franchises for IPL 2025. Initially, he was not shortlisted but he was later drafted.
Rajasthan Royals were serious about having him back. It was at RR that Jofra started his IPL career. He did well and for a few seasons, he was at Mumbai Indians. Now, he will lead the bowling attack of the side in Jaipur.
