England will host the upcoming Ashes. The last time around, the team was in poor form and lost the competition terribly. 1) Jos Buttler
In the previous Ashes, Jos Buttler was the wicket-keeper for England. However, after the disappointing phase in Tests, Jos Buttler was dropped and England is now reliant on players such as Ben Foakes to do the job. Nevertheless, on the other hand, Buttler has been elevated as the captain of the white-ball squads.
It would actually not be a surprise if England considers Buttler again. 2) Dawid Malan
Dawid Malan is one of the England players who played in the last Ashes series but might miss Ashes in 2023. Malan had a few decent knocks in the previous Ashes. However, overall, like most other batters, Malan, too, was disappointing. It has been more than a year that Malan has played Test cricket for England.
In the top-order, England already has plenty of options. The likes of Harry Brook are in top form and would be a prominent part of the XI.
