Legends League Cricket is a popular tournament for retired cricketers. In the past, we have seen some popular names retire so that they could be a part of this tournament. Interestingly, there are a few cricketers who recently played in the Indian Premier League and would now be a part of the LLC. IPL is the most competitive T20 league while the LLC is a league for retired cricketers. There is a wide difference and hence, it is a bit surprising. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of two cricketers who played in IPL 2024 and will play in Legends League Cricket 2024.
1) Dinesh Karthik
DK retired after IPL 2024. He was in good form and many expected him to continue playing. However, he retired and soon after, he signed up to play in the SA20 League for Paarl Royals. He has now been also signed by Southern Superstars for LLC 2024.
The likes of Nathan Coulter Nile, Pawan Negi and Shreevats Goswami are also a part of this side. Otherwise, there are not many notable names. However, DK is still very fit and in form. Hence, he would be a top addition to the side.
2) Shikhar Dhawan
Shikhar Dhawan is one of the cricketers who played in IPL 2024 and will play in Legends League Cricket 2024. It was just a few days ago that Shikhar announced his retirement from all forms of the game. Now, he was selected by the Gujarat Team for the upcoming tournament. It would not be a surprise if he also captains the side.
In Shikhar’s side, some of the other popular names are Chris Gayle, Sreesanth and Mohammed Kaif. It will be interesting to see the opening combination of Gayle and Dhawan. There are also reports that some of the ILT20 teams are interested in Dhawan’s signature for the next season.
