2 Changes RCB Might Make For The Game Against CSK

RCB and CSK will are scheduled to lock horns in the 35th match of the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League. The Royal Challengers Bangalore and the Chennai Super Kings have got off to a contrasting start in the United Arab Emirates leg of the tournament. While the Bangalore-based franchise suffered a crushing defeat against the Kolkata Knight Riders, the Chennai Super Kings beat two-time defending champions Mumbai Indians by 20 runs.

The match between RCB and CSK is scheduled to happen at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. This venue has shorter boundaries, and the pitch is excellent for batting. RCB will be keen to get back to winning ways in IPL 2021 when they battle CSK on Friday. However, it seems their current playing XI is not their best one. The following two changes to the match squad can help the Royal Challengers Bangalore perform better against the Chennai Super Kings.

1. RCB should include Rajat Patidar instead of KS Bharat for a match against CSK

It was surprising to see Rajat Patidar absent from the RCB playing XI for their match against the Kolkata Knight Riders team. Patidar impressed everyone with his phenomenal performances in the first phase of the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League.

However, the team management of the Royal Challengers Bangalore preferred to include debutant KS Bharat in the team. This move did not help the team as Bharat could score only 16 runs from 19 deliveries. AB de Villiers can return to the wicket-keeper’s role if Bharat is out of the playing XI.

2. Shahbaz Ahmed, in for Sachin Baby

Many fans would remember that Shahbaz Ahmed was responsible for the Royal Challengers Bangalore’s win against the Sunrisers Hyderabad during the first phase of the IPL 2021 Season. He claimed three wickets in an over and turned the game upside down.

Also, Ahmed has the capability to bat in the lower-middle order. To see Sachin Baby being picked over Shahbaz was a little surprising. Since Baby could not impress much in the match against the Kolkata Knight Riders, RCB can consider dropping him for Shahbaz. Thus, these are the two changes that Bangalore could make.
