2 changes India might consider for the second Test against Bangladesh

As expected, it was a walk in the park for India against Bangladesh in the first Test. Yes, India was in trouble in the first two sessions but R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja pulled India out of the hole. The next game will be at Kanpur. India might consider making a few changes keeping in mind various factors in the picture. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of two changes India might consider for the second Test against Bangladesh.

1) Kuldeep Yadav for Jasprit Bumrah

It has more to do with Jasprit Bumrah’s workload management. With one game already in the bag and the Kanpur pitch likely to assist the spinners, the management might consider resting Bumrah. In a few days, the New Zealand series will also start and Bumrah is a priority there.

Considering it is Kanpur, Kuldeep Yadav could come into the fray. He offers variety to the spin attack. Plus, he has improved his bowling skills recently. It will also be an opportunity for him to audition for a role in the playing XI against New Zealand.

2) Sarfaraz Khan for KL Rahul

Sarfaraz Khan for KL Rahul is one of the changes India might consider for the second Test against Bangladesh. While he did offer solidity for some time, KL Rahul definitely looked away from being completely confident. This might have also been noticed by the management.

On the other hand, Sarfaraz Khan has been in fine touch for Team India. He plays spin well and that could be of great use at Kanpur, as well. Although a bit far off, if India is sticking with three pacers, the management could try using Sarfaraz as the third spinner. With Gautam Gambhir trying hard to get more bowling from the batters, this could actually happen.
