ZIM-A vs SA-A Head-to-Head
In their previous five meetings, South Africa A have had clear domination over Zimbabwe A with all five games.
The two teams last played in July 2012 in the tri-series final. After being put into bat first, Zimbabwe A posted a total of 199/9. Thanks to Regis Chakabva’s 61-ball 52 runs contribution, which saw his side reach a par total. To everyone’s surprise, skipper Faf Du Plessis along with Chris Morris and Aaron Phangiso bagged two wickets each.
In reply, Colin Ingram gave a stabilising start to his side scoring a gritty 61. Zimbabwe A put up a tough fight but South Africa A emerged victorious by three wickets.
With both sides meeting each other after nine long years, one can expect an action-packed game on Saturday.
Pitch Report
The pitch at Harare has something in it for both, batsmen and bowlers. Pacers have enjoyed bowling on the track when compared to spinners as the conditions are most suitable for them. Batsmen will have to take their time and settle before playing the big shots if they want to post a challenging total.
Weather Report
It is forecasted to be very sunny on match day.
