Warner comments on Virat Kohli’s form
Although they are competitive individuals on the field, Virat Kohli and David Warner enjoy a good relationship off the park. Often, they are seen exchanging views on social media, as well. In the recent interview by Warner, the opener made a comment about Virat’s current form.
Virat Kohli has been struggling to make runs for a while now. For a guy who used to break batting records for fun, the last two years have not been memorable. He is yet to score a hundred since 2019 and that is a matter of concern for both the team and himself.
Meanwhile, Warner backed Virat to come good. He said that like all, even Virat has come through a lockdown. Warner said, “Many talk about Virat Kohli’s bad form but you are allowed to fail, you have earned the right to fail after doing wonders for many years”.

Incidentally, even Warner was in a similar situation a couple of months ago. Especially in IPL, Warner’s form had hit its bottom. The fact that he was stripped of his captaincy and dropped from the SRH team further brought down his morale. However, Warner has turned his fate around by putting on brilliant performances at the T20 World Cup. He was the Player of the Tournament in that competition, which Australia won. In the ongoing Ashes, too, Warner has given good starts to his team.
