WWE SummerSlam 2022 Match Card is set to have a big change as Riddle has been ruled out of this year’s premium live event. Riddle is one of the most popular Superstars on the RAW roster. This week, he headlined the RAW at MSG and lost to the Bloodline in a six-man tag team match. After the match, Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins came out and attacked Riddle.
WWE has officially confirmed that because of the assault from Rollins, Riddle will no longer feature in a match at SummerSlam. WWE official Adam Pearce wrote on Twitter:
“Sadly, it is official. As someone that suffered a crushed brachial plexus in 2011, I know road ahead for Riddle and wish for him the speediest and strongest recovery possible.”

So, now the question arises, who will be the opponent of Seth Rollins at SummerSlam? Here are five potential options.
1. Johnny Gargano could face Seth Rollins on the WWE SummerSlam 2022 match card
Fans online are guessing that it could be Triple H’s way of bringing Johnny Gargano back to WWE. He is a free agent now, and if he agrees to come back, making a return at SummerSlam would be a grand way to come back.
2. AJ Styles needs a match on WWE SummerSlam 2022 match card
AJ Styles is a Grand Slam champion, but he does not have a match at SummerSlam. Styles has stepped in as replacements in the past and put on bangers. This year, he could add one more to that list.
3. Bray Wyatt can make a stunning return on WWE SummerSlam 2022 match card
Former Universal Champion Bray Wyatt has a past with Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins. He could restart the journey as The Fiend on the show where Roman Reigns wrecked him and left two years ago.
4. Carmelo Hayes
Matt Riddle has been pulled from SummerSlam

Another name that has popped up online as an opponent for Seth Rollins is Carmelo Hayes. He is an NXT Superstar who dreams to have a match against Rollins at a grand stage one stage. These two Superstar could tear the house down at the Nissan Stadium.
5. Goldberg
Goldberg is still under WWE contract, and if WWE want, they can call him back for a match at SummerSlam. The former Universal Champion was rumored to take Brock Lesnar’s place on the match card, but he could replace Riddle now.
