20 years ago, John Cena started his WWE career by confronting Kurt Angle on TV. Since then, Cena has had many ups and downs in his career, but once he became the top guy of the company, there have been more ups in his professional career graph than downs. Cena has now transitioned from WWE to Hollywood, but he works as a part-time Superstar for the Stanford wrestling promotion.
Last year, WWE planned The Summer of Cena, where the Leader of Cenation traveled to different cities across the United States and entertained the WWE Universe. Cena’s run ended with a WWE Universal Championship match against Roman Reigns in the main event of WWE SummerSlam, where Roman emerged victorious.
Cena will make his return to WWE TV for the first time since SummerSlam 2021 later tonight, and fans across the world are excited to see what he does on his 20th anniversary. Rumors have claimed that WWE will start the buildup to a match between Theory and Cena for the WWE United States Championship at SummerSlam.
Ahead of his appearance on WWE RAW, Cena tweeted a video of his transformation and wrote:
What a long, strange trip it’s been…
