“That’s More Than Quarter Of A Year”- Xavier Woods Takes An Indirect Dig At WWE For His Booking On SmackDown

Xavier Woods is one of the most popular WWE Superstars of the modern era. The New Day member has won the tag team championships multiple times, and he has also won the King of the Ring tournament. Woods has never won a singles championship in WWE. It seems he wishes to pursue the Intercontinental Championship, but WWE have other plans for him.

Many fans would know that Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston are involved in a rivalry with the Brawling Brutes right now. They have battled Sheamus, Butch and Ridge Holland in multiple combinations. Big E got injured during one of the matches, leading to Drew McIntyre joining the clan as Big D.

Taking to Instagram after last week’s SmackDown episode, Woods wrote:

“King’s log: Yesterday counted the 14th week that we have fought Sheamus, Ridge, and Butch. That’s more than a quarter of this year. Once we are rid of them I can focus on Ricochet and the IC title. But for now we walk for miles inside this pit of danger…”

Xavier Woods may aim to make it to the Money in the Bank ladder match

At the moment, the Intercontinental Champion Ricochet is involved in a feud with former WWE NXT UK Champion Gunther. The two Superstars are scheduled to have a title match on this week’s SmackDown, with Gunther likely to win his first title on the main roster.

It will be interesting to see if Woods would challenge Gunther if he wins the WWE Intercontinental Championship. With the Money in the Bank premium live event coming up, Woods may also look to earn a spot in the men’s match, win the briefcase and challenge Roman Reigns for the title.

Woods has had battles with Roman in the past. He is also the only member of the New Day who has never won a world title.
