WWE SmackDown Superstar Angel has been very impressive in the ring. His athleticism has impressed the fans, and it seems he will become one of the top Mexican Superstars in the history of Vince McMahon’s pro wrestling promotion. Angel was previously known as Angel Garza. However, WWE Creative shortened his name.

Prior to joining forces with his real-life cousin Humberto on the Blue brand, Angel wrestled as a singles star. Before that, he worked as a tag team with Andrade, with Zelina Vega as the business manager. 1. Angel made his pro wrestling debut in 2008

He is still not the main event player in WWE, but Angel has a ton of experience in the world of pro wrestling. He hails from the famous Garza family, and he made his pro wrestling debut back in the year 2008. The 29-year-old already has experience of 13 years in this profession.

2. Humberto is not his only cousin who is a pro wrestler

As mentioned ahead, the SmackDown star hails from the Garza family, and there have been many professional wrestlers from the family. Humberto, his cousin and his tag team partner, works for WWE, whereas El Sultan is his cousin as well. Fans should note that he is the grandson of El Ninja.

3. Angel wrestled in IMPACT Wrestling

Before joining WWE, Angel wrestled in IMPACT Wrestling for a couple of years. He joined the promotion in 2017 and was a part of it until 2018. He was also a part of the Mexican Independent Circuit from 2017 to 2019. Ultimately, he joined WWE in 2019.

4. He has won two championships in WWE

Angel debuted in WWE in 2019 and became the NXT Cruiserweight Champion. After moving to the main roster, he has won the WWE 24/7 Championship once. Thus, in his brief career, he has already been a champion twice.

5. He got married in 2020

Last year, the Mexican star got hitched to Zaide Lozano. He shared the news with everyone on social media, and the WWE Superstar had famously proposed to his girlfriend in a WWE ring in December 2019.
