The People’s Champion defined the WWE in its greatest period of professional wrestling which famously is known today as ‘The Attitude Era’ helping the WWE triumph over its rival promotion, WCW during the Monday Night Wars.

After a Hall of Fame-worthy career etched by The Brahma Bull, The Rock set out to conquer the world of Hollywood in 2002 debuting in the movie ‘The Mummy Returns’ as the Scorpion King. Although he faced a sloppy start in the bright lights of the movie world much like how his WWE career began, The Most Electrifying Man in all of Entertainment worked towards his newfound passion and soon reigned as one of the mainstays in the entertainment industry.

John Cena followed a similar path of success, beginning his WWE run as a rookie at the same time The Rock started his Hollywood career. Much like The Rock, The Cenation Leader’s road to the top was full of ups and downs, but the Face that runs that place carried the WWE on his back for the remainder of his full-time career winning multiple championships, battling some of the best WWE Superstars in high-profile matches and becoming the face of his generation.

After his successful run for well over 15 years, Cena also set out to establish his place in Hollywood appearing in some of the most successful series and films like Peacemaker, Fast and Furious, and Bumblebee.

Will The Rock and John Cena return for WrestleMania 39?

The Rock and John Cena have been a part of two WrestleMania main events when their real-life heat was written into the WWE storyline pitting two of the greatest WWE Superstars against each other in their once-in-a-lifetime dream matches and rivalry.

The two A-list actors seem to be on the radar of mainstream Hollywood veterans Mark Wahlberg and Kevin Hart for a tag team match inside a WWE ring when WrestleMania goes to Hollywood next year for its 39th edition. Interviewed by The Man Becky Lynch during the promotion of their upcoming film, Me Time, the mainstream actors expressed their desire to face Cena and The Rock at WrestleMania 39:

“We’ve got to take on The Rock and John Cena.”
