Dolph Ziggler Teases A First-Time Ever Dream Match For WWE WrestleMania 39

“The Showoff” Dolph Ziggler has expressed his desire to face “King of Strong Style” Shinsuke Nakamura in an “MMA Style” match at WrestleMania.

In an interview during Casual Conversations With The Classic, Ziggler went on to say that he wanted to have an hour-long match with Nakamura where they can showcase each other’s backgrounds like Shinsuke’s MMA and striking and his own amateur wrestling. He wants the match to have an MMA feel to it which would last 45 – 60 minutes and would take each other to the limit.

He wants the match to be like what they do in Japan where it isn’t exactly MMA but very close with some strikes and chokes. Ziggler also expressed his admiration for Nakamura and said that they can relate to each other well.

His snippets (13:17 – 14:12) from the interview:

“We can get some strikes and some chokes. That would be fun because I love Shinsuke, he does some of the coolest stuff. He’s a great guy, and he’s so good, and he understands this so well that we relate to each other so well, I think.”

Will Dolph Ziggler wrestle on WrestleMania 39?

Dolph Ziggler is a former WWE World Heavyweight Champion, NXT Champion, 6 time Intercontinental, a 2-time United States Champion and a 4-time Tag team champion. He has always been considered a performer with untapped potential who’s been overlooked because of many factors. He was even called the best worker of the generation by the highly decorated multi time world champion Randy Orton.

Maybe now WWE under Triple H’s new management, can finally utilise The Heel’s full potential instead of using him like an enhancement talent. WrestleMania 39 is still a few months away, and it will be interesting to see if Dolph Ziggler gets a place on the match card. He did not have any big storylines heading into WrestleMania 37 or 38.
