1. Brock Lesnar could win Royal Rumble 2022
The Beast Incarnate, Brock Lesnar, is the ultimate favorite to win the WWE Royal Rumble match next year. The reason behind that is WWE planned to have a match between Roman Reigns and Jeff Hardy for the Universal Championship at the Royal Rumble show or the PPV special in Saudi Arabia. However, Jeff Hardy has now been released.
These plans have clearly spoilt the result of the WWE Day 1 match between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar. According to reports, Brock vs Roman is the plan for the main event of WrestleMania 38. Also, rumors have surfaced claiming that the upcoming match at WWE Day 1 is a part of the series of the Brock vs Roman matches. So, if Roman retains at Day 1, then WWE could set up their WrestleMania bout by booking Brock Lesnar to win the Royal Rumble match.
2. The Rock could win Royal Rumble 2022
Fans should note that before Brock Lesnar vs Roman Reigns, the main event for WrestleMania 38 was expected to be Roman Reigns vs The Rock. The chances of The Rock’s return are low, but he could still return to the #30 position in the Royal Rumble.
The Rock could then win the match and go to Dallas to face off against The Tribal Chief in a first-ever meeting.
3. Drew McIntyre
Drew McIntyre vs. The Authority on SmackDown seems to be a growing storyline. Drew won the last Royal Rumble match that happened in front of live fans. However, he did not get his WrestleMania match in front of the fans because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
McIntyre could win the Royal Rumble 2022 and challenge either the WWE Champion or the Universal Champion at the Grandest Stage of ‘Em All.
4. Samoa Joe
Samoa Joe vs. Roman Reigns is a dream rivalry. The Samoan Submission Machine is currently out with an injury. He had won the NXT Championship but had to relinquish it because of an injury. Joe could be back at the Royal Rumble and win the 30-man match to set up a dream match with Roman.
They have a lot of history between themselves, and fans will be invested in the main event storyline for WrestleMania 38.
5. Roman Reigns could win Royal Rumble 2022
This entry does not make much sense now, but as mentioned ahead, the plan for WrestleMania 38 main event is Brock vs. Roman. They are set to battle on Day 1. If WWE changes the result at the last moment, they can take this route to set up the main event.
There could also be a potential double turn because WWE always wanted Roman as a face. It will be exciting to see what happens on January 29.
