5 Surprises that could happen in WWE Title Elimination Chamber match

The Road to WrestleMania 37 has begun as the fans are just a few days away from the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view. The top attraction of the Elimination Chamber event is the match of the namesake gimmick. Six Superstars usually step inside the demonic structure. Two Superstars start the match. A new Superstar joins the contest at a fixed time interval.

After the Women’s Revolution, WWE generally booked two Elimination Chamber matches. One match would be for the men. The other would be for the female stars. However, in 2021, there are two men’s Elimination Chamber matches. Drew McIntyre will defend his title against The Miz, Randy Orton, AJ Styles, Sheamus, and Jeff Hardy. Here are five surprises that can happen in this bout.

5. AJ Styles prevails inside the Elimination Chamber

AJ Styles is the wildcard to win this match. He is an experienced Superstar. However, his current booking has not been so strong. Recently, he lost to Drew McIntyre at TLC. It is unlikely that Style will win inside the Elimination Chamber.

However, WWE can stun the fans with this surprise. It has been a long time since Styles held the world title. He has never been at the top of RAW. With WrestleMania approaching, WWE could possibly take this path. Also, AJ Styles vs. Edge could be a Once in a Lifetime match at WrestleMania.

4. Sheamus eliminates Drew McIntyre

Drew McIntyre will defend his title for the first time inside an Elimination Chamber. Many would expect his inexperience to cost him. Especially, because of the fact that all his opponents are former world champions. But still, McIntyre is the number one favourite. He has a ton of momentum by his side.

McIntyre carried WWE on his shoulders in 2020. He recently defeated Goldberg. The only man who has a chance of eliminating him is Sheamus. The Irish Superstar turned on McIntyre this month. If Sheamus eliminates McIntyre, it could lead to a huge WrestleMania bout.

3. The Miz gets eliminated, comes back via a cash-in

The Miz is a former WWE Champion. He has not held the world title for many years. He has the shortcut to winning the title in his hands. Last year, Miz defeated Otis to win the Money in the Bank. Although John Morrison cashed it in at TLC, Miz earned it back because he did not make the call. So, Miz has the briefcase.

He is also in the Elimination Chamber match. His current booking is not the strongest. So, the chances are high he will get eliminated early. However, The Miz could surprise the fans by deciding to cash in his MITB. This would mark a unique occurrence inside the Elimination Chamber.

2. The Fiend stops Randy Orton from winning the title

Randy Orton is a veteran Superstar. He is a Legend Killer. Orton is the only one who has defeated WWE Champion Drew McIntyre in a title match. However, he has been away from the title scene for a few weeks now. Orton is busy in a feud with Bray Wyatt.

Randy burnt The Fiend at TLC. Wyatt has not shown up on TV since then. Rumours suggest Bray and Randy will clash at WrestleMania. So, Bray is bound to make his comeback soon. Elimination Chamber would be the best place because The Fiend could make things personal by not allowing Orton to win the title.

1. Jeff Hardy shocks the world at Elimination Chamber

While many fans consider the other five Superstars as candidates to win the WWE title, not many have given Jeff Hardy a chance. Jeff is a future Hall of Famer. He is a tag team specialist. However, one should not forget even Jeff is a former world champion. So, it would be wrong to completely write him off.

Jeff Hardy could stun the world by defeating the other five Superstars inside the Elimination Chamber. He could then face Edge at WrestleMania. Jeff vs. Edge could sell any arena on the planet. This thing could be WWE’s biggest surprise on the Road to WrestleMania. Thus, these are the five possible surprises.
