WWE WrestleMania XL Predictions: 5 Unexpected Things Which Can Happen On The Show

The road to WrestleMania 40 is about to reach its conclusion in less than two weeks in Philidelphia, with the show being billed as the Biggest WrestleMania of all time. Fans have started to make their wild predictions for WWE WrestleMania XL. The extravaganza is already set to present a stacked line-up with some of the biggest and most talented WWE superstars scheduled for the show.

With top stars of the past and present possibly appearing for WWE’s biggest spectacle of the year, their esteemed and loyal fan base could be in store for some huge surprises as well. Here are 5 possible scenarios that can happen at WrestleMania 40 leaving the fans stunned.

1. WWE WrestleMania XL Predictions – The Rock comes face to face with his iconic rival

As it is known, WrestleMania 40 Night 1 will see the return of The Final Boss, The Rock back inside the squared circle as he teams up with his cousin, Roman Reigns to battle Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins. With The Great One backed by The Bloodline, the odds can be evened for Rhodes and Rollins by Rock’s iconic rival, Stone Cold Steve Austin.

The Texas Rattlesnake has been heavily rumored to appear for the show, with a recent eastern egg of his face on a WWE production bus shown during The Rock’s beatdown of Cody Rhodes to end this week’s RAW. So things are pointing toward Austin’s involvement at WrestleMania 40, giving fans a trip back in nostalgia with two of the most iconic rivals coming face-to-face after a long time.

2. Roman Reigns ends the story for Cody Rhodes

The WWE Universe is firmly behind Cody Rhodes as he challenges Roman Reigns to a high-stakes title rematch in the main event of WrestleMania 40 Night 2. Moreover, it was the fans’ rally that led Rhodes into the bout, outcasting The Rock and making his path even more credible.

However, WWE can throw a major curve ball at its fanbase by booking Reigns to once again defeat Cody with the interference of The Bloodline and putting an end to one of the most anticipated moments they had been waiting to see for almost a year.

3. WWE WrestleMania XL Predictions – Sami Zayn shockingly ends GUNTHER’s historic title reign

GUNTHER has proclaimed that he and many other people in the wrestling industry have a firm belief that Sami Zayn is not a worthy opponent for him and has less than zero chance of dethroning him for the WWE Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 40.

However, the Underdog from the Underground has been known to prove doubters wrong his entire life and rise above every obstacle. It is exactly what Zayn can do at The Show of Shows this year by leaving it all inside the squared circle and putting down the Ring General for good measure to win the Intercontinental title and ending the longest-reigning title reign of all time.

4. Drew McIntyre pushed out of the door with a huge WrestleMania loss

Drew McIntyre has been riding the wave of momentum with his menacing antics for months and is set to face Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight title at WrestleMania 40 Night 2. Despite the odds and fans’ support in his favor, McIntyre is yet to ink a new deal with WWE as his current deal approaches its end.

Should McIntyre not choose to re-sign with WWE before WrestleMania arrives, the promotion can lose confidence in his allegiance and have him lose against Rollins at the show, firmly pushing him out of the door.

5. John Cena’s impromptu match at WrestleMania

John Cena has teased his involvement at WrestleMania 40 after stating that his schedule was free on the day of the show. So, WWE can plan an exciting segment with The Champ that can culminate with an impromptu and relatively short match against any upcoming WWE superstar, much like the company did with The Rock back in 2016.

That would add one more WrestleMania bout to Cena’s name while giving a huge push to the star who steps into the ring against the GOAT on the Grandest Stage of them all.
