WWE WrestleMania XL Night 1 Predictions: Predicting the winner of each match on the show

The stage is set for the biggest WrestleMania to go down at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia as WWE produces the 40th edition of its premier show. Much like it has been happening for years, WrestleMania XL would happen across two nights with a stacked line-up for each card.

So, here is a look at our predictions for the winners of each match set to take place on Night 1 of WrestleMania 40:

1. Gunther extends his lengthy reign beyond WrestleMania XL

The Ring General Gunther has put down multiple WWE superstars on his path to becoming the longest-reigning WWE Intercontinental Champion of all time.

With his dominance inside the ring and despite the momentum slightly in favor of the underdog, Sami Zayn who has been training with Chad Gable, things would still proven to go sideways with The Ring General putting way Zayn to extend his reign beyond The Show of Shows.

2. The Man reigns supreme once again at The Showcase of the Immortals

Becky Lynch has the experience of winning the big one at WrestleMania, being one of the three women to main event The Show of Shows for the first time in 2019.

Combined with her fury and hatred towards her WrestleMania 40 opponent, Rhea Ripley who made things intensely personal with her, The Man could channel all of it to dethrone Mami and end her title reign at the same place it began last year.

3. New Catch Republic ascends to the next level at WrestleMania 40

The team of Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne have been gaining huge momentum for months, especially after they narrowly missed out on dethroning Finn Balor and Damien Priest for the Undisputed WWE tag team titles last month at WWE Elimination Chamber. However, the hard-hitting stars can rewrite their wrong by outlasting 5 other teams in the 6-pack tag team ladder including Balor and Priest to win the tag team titles and ascend to the next level of the WWE food chain.

4. Jimmy Uso’s blood puts a stop to YEETMania

The highly anticipated ‘Brother vs Brother’ showdown between the fan favorite Jey Uso and his estranged twin brother, Jimmy Uso could end with their father, Rikishi joining the fray and aligning with the rest of his blood turning his back on Jey to help Jimmy secure the big win at WrestleMania 40 while berate his younger Uso for turning his back on his family.

5. The Dark Queens control the Damage at The Grandest Stage of them all

Last week’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown ended with Bianca Belair and Naomi aided by The Storm, Jade Cargill in their war against Damage CTRL. They could continue the momentum for them as a team and Cargill’s debut by combining their power, speed, and strength to knock off Asuka, Kairi Sane, and Dakota Kai at The Grandest Stage of them all.

6. Dominik Mysterio avenges WrestleMania loss with the help of Legado Del Fantasma

WrestleMania 39 ended in a nightmare for Dominik Mysterio after he suffered a high-profile and embarrassing defeat at the hands of his father, Rey Mysterio. However, Dom Dom could rewrite history and avenge the loss by using some underhanded tactics with the assistance of his partner Santos Escobar to put down Rey and his ally, Dragon Lee at WrestleMania 40.

7. Cody Rhodes earns a fair field to Finish the Story

The high-stakes tag team showdown for the main event of WrestleMania 40 Night 1 between The Rock and Roman Reigns against Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins would possibly see the fan favorites outlasting the interference of The Bloodline and the wrath of The Final Boss and The Tribal Chief.

They would do it with their own backup in the form of Jey Uso and potentially a returning legend like Steve Austin also rumored to appear for the show to knock them off, securing the victory and earning a fair field for Cody Rhodes to battle Roman Reigns and Finish his Story.
