WWE WrestleMania 39 is a few months away, but WWE have already announced a blockbuster main event for the show. Roman Reigns vs Cody Rhodes will headline the show, and the big question in everyone’s mind is who will win the WrestleMania 39 match.
Roman Reigns has been the WWE Undisputed Universal Champion since WrestleMania 38. He won the Universal title at Payback 2020 and then captured the WWE Championship from Brock Lesnar in the Biggest WrestleMania match of all time against Brock Lesnar last year in Dallas.
Cody Rhodes, on the other hand, was a mid-card level Superstar during his first stint with WWE. The company released him, but he worked harder, built a new rival company, only to leave it and return ‘home’. Rhodes made a shocking return at WrestleMania 38 last year and defeated Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins.

After an entertaining feud with Rollins, Rhodes suffered an injury that ruled him out for the rest of 2022. He made his much-awaited in-ring return at Royal Rumble as the 30th entrant in the men’s Rumble match. He eliminated the reigning Intercontinental Champion Gunther to win the match and inch a step closer to the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship.
Why Cody Rhodes will be the one who will win vs Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39
WWE has invested a lot in Cody Rhodes since he returned. He has defeated the biggest star in the company after Roman Reigns – Seth Rollins in three singles matches. Rhodes has also won the Royal Rumble.

There is no one else on the roster more over than Rhodes. Some might argue that Sami Zayn deserves to be in the main event scene as well, but WWE may consider some other factors as well before crowning a new WWE Undisputed Universal Champion.
The era of Cody Rhodes can begin after WrestleMania 39, allowing Roman Reigns some much needed time off from the company before he comes back to chase his crown around the Crown Jewel premium live event.
