It was a cracker of a battle at the Money in the Bank before Jey Uso finally managed to pin Roman Reigns, a record that would ring through ages after the Tribal Chief went untouched for years. However, the fans of WWE are well aware of the fact that the battle is far from over. In fact, a new war has just begun and we are still to witness countless twists and turns.
As we approach another PPV, Summerslam, we are well aware of the fact that this rivalry will now take various shape and sizes before the big bangs happen. At the moment, Roman won’t be fighting for the belt but Jey Uso would obviously be bringing that to the context. Here are three reasons why Jey Uso must win the battle against Roman Reigns.
#1 Jey Uso’s victory would allow him a step further to challenge for the title
Jey Uso has already proven that Roman is no God that he can’t be touched. In fact, he has issued a statement saying that Roman is just a flawed and arrogant leader who failed to lead as the Judgement Day imploded.
Can Jey Uso keep #SmackDown ratings above 2.5 million tonight?
Because if he CAN’T, then I don’t think he should be called “Main Event” anymore 😬😬😬 pic.twitter.com/wprTRwp2kU

With all said and done, this victory of Jey can secure another, would be a strong statement about his strength. And then once that has been established, the next step in the making is that of the title shot.
#2 Another step towards the implosion of the Bloodline
The Bloodline is already in shreds but as long as Solo Sikoa holds fort for them, the faction would remain. Hence, it is crucial that the Enforcer believes that Roman isn’t strong enough to lead the stable and that is exactly why Jey must win against Roman Reigns just to dissuade Solo Sikoa about the invincibility of Roman Reigns.
#3 The title separation begins
It has been a long time coming and the WWE wants to see the Universal Championship being split and for that one needs to match the storyline of the ongoing Bloodline. Unless Roman is there, it is needless to say that he is still in his prominence to hold at least one Championship.

It is his second Championship that may be removed from him and Jey Uso makes a poetic choice particularly after colliding with Roman earlier and failing to beat him before finally falling in line to make the Bloodline.
