Just before the match started, Brock Lesnar turned on Cody Rhodes and attacked him brutally. The two Superstars had a match at Backlash, where Rhodes emerged victorious, while Lesnar took his revenge at Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia. Now, the winner of this feud will be decided at SummerSlam.

Cody Rhodes’ sister Teil Runnels spoke with Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Bill Apter ahead of SummerSlam 2023. She shared her predictions for the Biggest Party of Summer and said:
“I hope Cody’s gonna take this one, but I don’t think it’ll be easy for him. Brock certainly looked like he was on a mission for pain on Monday Night RAW this week. But I’m always rooting for Cody and I think that it’s time to put the beast to bed.”
