WWE SummerSlam will return to entertain the fans on August 5, 2023. The biggest festival of summer is around the corner and expect all sorts of madness to unfurl when the superstars go to war. A flurry of an amazing matches has been booked for SummerSlam and most importantly two stipulations will be seen for the first time, one of them being a Tribal Combat where the other being an MMA match.
The Tribal combat may witness the return of former Anoia family legends while the SummerSlam as a whole may see a return of icons from the past. We have seen crazy comebacks and don’t be surprised if we witness more. Here are five superstars who may return.
#1 Will The Rock return at WWE SummerSlam 2023?
One of the biggest probabilities of the Rock returning to WWE is the Tribal Combat match and as we know that People’s elbow has not been seen for a while but when we talk about family rifts, particularly involving the Anoia family, Dwayne Johnson becomes an obvious choice to settle it all. But this may simply be an initial glimpse of the big man coming in for a bigger war.
#2 Will Rikishi return at WWE SummerSlam 2023?
Elders are a crucial part of the Tribal Combat and Rikishi is one of the eldest members of the family.

With Paul Heyman in the mix, Rikishi’s introduction may simply be the factor that eliminates anyone from the outside and eventually make this an even steven battle. Brace yourself for the stink-face.
#3 Ken Shamrock
Since there is an MMA match in the making and probably for the first time, what better than the introduction of Ken Shamrock as a guest referee? Well, he is a star in the MMA circuit and his earlier involvement with the WWE makes him an absolute favorite for the Ronda Rousey vs Shayna Baszler battle and also blooms a smile on the WWE Universe’s face.
#4 Bray Wyatt
The Eater of the Worlds is still to make an announcement about his return to WWE but then again, he has been a notorious name that often gets thrown around.

His return can be a major boost for WWE, particularly involving the Judgment Day as they operate on the same line. Let’s cross our hearts and hope that WWE makes this happen.
#5 Randy Orton
The Viper was seen training hard in his recently posted videos and he would be a favourite returning to SummerSlam to make one final run to next year’s Wrestlemania before he hangs his boots. Once again, WWE loves Randy Orton, and may be if he chips with an eye on Cody Rhodes, this may simply turn massive.
