WWE SummerSlam 2023 match card is shaping up well. The company has officially announced two matches for the biggest party of the 2023 summer. Seth Rollins will defend his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Finn Balor, while Brock Lesnar will go one-on-one against Cody Rhodes.
Apart from that, WWE has already sown the seeds for some other blockbuster matches as well. WWE Undisputed Universal Champion Roman Reigns got pinned for the first time since late 2019 at Money in the Bank 2023. Jey Uso pinned him in the Bloodline Civil War tag team match.

Jey Uso has challenged The Tribal Chief for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship on August 5 at SummerSlam. Former women’s champion Ronda Rousey split with her partner Shayna Baszler at Money in the Bank. Baszler betrayed Ronda, and the latter has issued her a challenge for SummerSlam.
Another women’s match which will feature on the WWE SummerSlam 2023 card is Becky Lynch vs Trish Stratus. On this week’s episode of RAW, Stratus laid down three conditions for Becky before she would get to face her at the premium live event.

The first condition was to beat Zoey Stark. Next, she wanted Lynch to guarantee that she would say Thank you Trish after the legend beats The Man at SummerSlam. Also, she wanted Becky to have a tattoo on her chest, which read Thank you Trish. Becky accepted all the conditions, subtly confirming a SummerSlam match as well.
