Roman Reigns vs Cody Rhodes happened last night, with the Tribal Chief winning. WrestleMania 39 was an absolute cracker as it ended on a sumptuous note with frequent top-class matches that saw superstars banging head on against each other. The PPV ended with a summit clash between the American Nightmare, Cody Rhodes and the Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns. Eventually after a series of wonderful and extreme turnarounds, it was Roman Reigns who retained his undisputed WWE Championship.
However, now that the American Nightmare has failed to realize his American Dream, where does WWE go from here? Do they give him another shot or is it an abrupt ending of the story line? Here are three possible turns that WWE may resort to from hereon.
#1 Cody Rhodes returns and seek a rematch
The American Nightmare can very well be here for the title and considering the next face in the making, Cody Rhodes cuts an important figure. With his magnificent wrestling pedigree and the kind of lineage he shares, he is not some one to shy away. Going by his never-give-up personality schtick, WWE may actually continue this rivalry and the Tribal Chief may again have to go head on with Cody.
#2 It turns into a tag-team fight between The Bloodline and Rhodes, Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens
With the late arrival of the Usos and Kevin Ownes and Sami Zayn, the match took an amazing turn as the two remaining factions who collided with each other for the final match on Day 1 for the WWE Tag Team championship.
Now that it was a clear collision between the two factions and with Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn being the tag-team champions, this may very well turn into a tag-team match where the winner walks away with all the titles, thereby going all in for the contest.
#3 Paul Heyman flips on Reigns, and it can be another Roman Reigns vs Cody Rhodes this time with the latter being heel
Rhodes is no stranger to the role of a heel and given Reigns’ long-standing run as a heel, the industry may plot and turn Heyman against him on grounds of he hasn’t been doing enough with the phone to alert Reigns.
Sikoa can also be a major factor that may actually go head on against Reigns after being ejected from the match-up as the Tribal Chief may impute him some serious blame. With all said and done, with Paul flipping out, the entire equation will change.
