WWE RAW After SummerSlam 2023: 3 Surprises That Could Happen On The Show

WWE RAW after SummerSlam will take place on August 7 at the Target Center in Minneapolis. After a magnificent premium live event at the Ford Field, WWE will aim to continue the momentum on RAW. The next premium live event is WWE Payback, which will happen on September 2.

Some exciting matches should take place on the Payback match card next month. Before the red brand airs its new episode, here are our predictions for five surprises that could happen on the WWE RAW after SummerSlam episode.

1. Cody Rhodes challenges Seth Rollins on the WWE RAW after SummerSlam

Cody Rhodes earned the respect of Brock Lesnar by defeating him at SummerSlam last Saturday. Meanwhile, Seth Rollins retained his World Heavyweight Championship against Finn Balor.

It seems likely that the next feud for the World Heavyweight Championship will be between former rivals Rollins and Rhodes. For the record, Rollins has not defeated Rhodes since he returned to WWE.

2. DIY reunites

Johnny Gargano recently made his return to WWE at the Supershow in Fort Myers. According to rumors, WWE scrapped the plans for a tag team championship match featuring Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn against DIY because of Kevin’s injury.

Kevin should be fit for the next premium live event in September. WWE can start the slow buildup for Tomasso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano’s reunion, eventually leading to a tag team title match.

“Johnny and I have a real passion for tag team wrestling and the psychology of it and making it mean something,” Ciampa recently said on Out of Character podcast. “It could be a special run, so I definitely am open to it.”

3. Finn Balor quits WWE

Finn Balor suffered a shocking defeat at SummerSlam. It seems unlikely that he will ever become world champion again in WWE.

A lot of fans have been behind Balor on social media. Perhaps, WWE can attract more attention towards the former WWE Universal Champion by booking him to quit WWE.

Perhaps, Balor can return after months to cost Damian Priest a chance to become the new World Heavyweight Champion or as a surprise winner of Royal Rumble in his Demon King avatar.
