The time for WWE Night of Champions 2023 is almost upon us. WWE has organized two premium live events for the fans this month. The first one was Backlash, which happened in Puerto Rico on May 6. Now, WWE will head to Saudi Arabia for its second premium live event of month titled Night of Champions.
The last time WWE fans witnessed Night of Champions before 2023 was back in the year 2015. Seth Rollins headlined the show with two championship matches that year. He defended the United States Championship against John Cena and put his WWE World Heavyweight Championship on the line against Sting.
Rollins will be a part of the World Heavyweight Championship match at Night of Champions this year as well. As of this writing, his opponent is not decided. Rollins will take on a Superstar from SmackDown in the finals of the World Heavyweight Championship tournament.
Apart from that, WWE has also announced a singles match for the show. Brock Lesnar will go one-on-one with Cody Rhodes in Saudi Arabia. It is a rematch of the main event of Backlash. In that match, Rhodes pinned Lesnar. Rhodes will be keen to complete a double over The Beast Incarnate and continue his journey towards finishing the story.
