Legendary Wrestling booker Vince Russo had an interesting idea for WWE United States Champion Bobby Lashley. He believes that a former Superstar should return to feud with The Almighty for a new storyline.
Russo was pointing toward former WWE Superstar Kristal Marshall. She entered the WWE Diva Search 2005 and ended up coming fourth. Moreover, despite her shortcoming in the contest, she was eventually signed by the company. During her tenure, she was mostly featured in mid-card and upper-mid-card storylines with her most recognized run being with former SmackDown GM Teddy Long. This was her last major storyline before being released in 2007 by the WWE.
Furthermore, Vince Russo’s idea was prompted due to a past history between Lashley and Marshall. The duo met in IMPACT Wrestling (fka TNA) in 2007 being aligned with him on-screen. In real life, Bobby and Kristal dated from 2007 until 2010 announcing their split. They even have two children together, a son named Myles and a daughter named Naomi.

During Lashley and Marshall’s tenure in TNA/IMPACT, Vince Russo served as an off-screen writer. He pitched an idea filled with emotion and drama for the former couple during the Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Writing With Russo show:
“Bring her back with a guy and tell the story of the [relationship] and accuse Bobby of this and the other thing.”
Moreover, Russo stated further that Kristal Marshal’s talent cannot be unforeseen and praised her for the same:
“She is super talented. She could make people believe whatever she wants them to believe.”
