As WWE rapidly approaches the Extreme show in nearly 3 weeks with one title match set in stone, here are early predictions for the top 5 title matches that could be made official for WWE Extreme Rules 2022:
1. Gunther vs Sheamus
WWE witnessed one of the greatest matches in history at WWE Clash at the Castle when both heavyweights, The Ring General Gunther and Celtic Warrior Sheamus battled in a hard-hitting affair for the WWE Intercontinental Championship.
The outcome saw Gunther retain his title and both men received a standing ovation for the excellent display of a classic 5-star wrestling match, so it would be fitting for both behemoths to go at it once again, this time in extreme rules match at the namesake event in an attempt to deliver yet another stellar performance.
2. Bobby Lashley vs Solo Sikoa

The latest edition of WWE Smackdown saw the official induction of The Bloodline’s newest member, NXT North American Champion Solo Sikoa, the man who helped Roman Reigns retain his Undisputed WWE Universal Title against Drew McIntyre at Clash at the Castle.
Sikoa could begin his road to capturing the gold on main roster to match the level set by his family by targeting Bobby Lashley and challenging him for the WWE United States Championship at WWE Extreme Rules.
3. Bayley vs Bianca Belair
The leader of the faction, Damage Ctrl and former 4-time Women’s Champion Bayley has been feuding with RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair ever since she returned to WWE SummerSlam with her new faction members, IYO Sky and Dakota Kai picking up a huge 6-wpman tag team victory with her team against Belair’s squad at WWE Clash at the Castle.
Bayley with all the momentum in her hand could win a No. 1 contender’s match and earn the right to challenge Bianca at WWE Extreme Rules 2022 for the RAW Women’s Championship.
4. Strowman & McIntyre vs The Usos
Drew McIntyre, looking to exact some vengeance against the Bloodline for everything they have done to him could turn to the newest return signee of the WWE, The Monster Among Men Braun Strowman could choose to target The Usos in an attempt to slither away the Undisputed WWE Tag Team titles at WWE Extreme Rules, potentially carving a path to reach to their leader, The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns and set their sights on the Undisputed WWE Universal titles next after dispatching the Usos.
5. Damage Ctrl vs Raquel & Aliyah
Monday Night RAW this week saw Damage Ctrl members Dakota Kai and IYO Sky dethrone Raquel Rodriguez and Aliyah to become the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.
This could set the tone for an impending rematch at Extreme Rules between the two teams, this time in a namesake match itself to deliver an even stellar match than the one witnessed on RAW.
