WWE Extreme Rules 2022 Predictions: 5 Possible Ways Finn Balor vs Edge Match Can End

An “I Quit” match is one of the most physically torturing stipulations any competitor can face in the pro wrestling universe. Making your opponent to literally break to such a point so as to admit defeat on the mic by saying “I Quit” is no child’s play. We are about to witness one such “I Quit” match on Saturday between Edge and Finn Balor.

Edge was subjected to a brutal attack by his former group members of Judgment Day. A group he found himself. He was then replaced by Bálor as their leader. He challenged Bálor to the match on the September 26th episode of RAW after being a target of their repeated attacks many times.

Let’s predict 5 ways this Extreme Rules match can end:

1. Edge makes Finn Balor say “I Quit”

In a grueling match, full of blood and gore, Edge tortures Bálor to the point where he has to utter the dreaded words. It’s a clean victory for Edge and after the match Finn nods in respect. Thus, ending the feud between Edge and The Judgment Day.

2. Finn Bálor makes Edge say “I Quit”

In a back-and-forth extreme match with weapons and blood, Bálor makes his predecessor quit and finally ends The Judgment Day’s losing streak at pay per views. It’s a clean match where Finn and Edge both don’t let their teams interfere. This match effectively ends their rivalry for good.

3. Edge makes Finn Bálor say “I Quit” but with Rey Mysterio’s help

Edge and Bálor have a good match with kendo sticks, chairs and tables where both paint each other red and pink. As Edge gains the upper hand, Bálor’s The Judgement Day team of Rhea Ripley, Damian Priest and Dominik Mysterio launch an attack on him, overpowering him with their numbers. Right then Rey Mysterio storms to the action with a chair in hand and sends the faction scattering away, with Edge going back to Bálor and making him quit with his edge Cator submission.

4. Finn Bálor makes Edge say “I Quit” with the Judgment Day’s help

Finn Bálor uses his evil team of The Judgment Day to attack and subdue Edge at a later stage of the match. Edge’s friend Rey Mysterio tries to help him but his efforts go to waste as their numbers advantage is too much for him. In the end, all four members of the faction, Finn Bálor , Rhea Ripley, Damian Priest and Dominik Mysterio lock Edge in a torturous combined submission with weapons even, to force him into saying “I Quit”

5. Edge wins the match with Beth Phoenix’s help

The match goes on well, until Bálor’s The Judgment Day decide to poke their noses and attack Edge. The numbers advantage works in their favour until Rey Mysterio’s music hits, and he runs to the ring to save Edge. It doesn’t work as it’s 4 against 2 and Edge is tired. Right then AJ Styles’ music hits, who was attacked by The Judgment Day on RAW and he thwarts their attack but he is left in the ring with Rhea Ripley.

He can’t hit her as she is a woman. Then we hear the music of Beth Phoenix, Edge’s wife, who runs to the ring and takes care of Ripley, thus evening the odds. Edge is left alone with Finn Bálor, whom he beats by making him say “I Quit”.
